Re: 4th ODI ndia v Australia, Chandigarh 8th October 2007
Tendu should take a cue from Inzimam and retire.
But then Inzi does not have million dollar endorsements at stake.

Yeah, he is doing pretty bad and he should be taken out of the team if he does not perform in this match.
Btw, where were you and your comments when Sachin was making runs during the England tour??
Re: 4th ODI ndia v Australia, Chandigarh 8th October 2007
Tendulkar : 6 RUNS in 33 BALLS after being out 3 times.

I was here...and did not budge from my stance.
If I remember correctly, you were the one jumping up and down about Tendu then.
Re: 4th ODI ndia v Australia, Chandigarh 8th October 2007
btw Infiniti saab, even when he was scoring those 90s in England...you could see that he was not playing like his usual self....he was often over-improvising...not his usual style....but against mediocre English attack...he seemed to be getting away with it.

That's surprising, coz I did not read any posts from you regarding those innings.
PS: No, I was not jumping up and down, I was just praising his innings when it was worth a praise. And oh yes, if he bats like the way he is batting today, I am all for him to be axed from the team. Getting Tendulkar out of the team is not a principle that you cannot budge from your stance.

No thats not the point, do not cite the quality of english attack as a reason. I agree he's not his usual self, but if he performs the way he did in England, why would you not want to appreciate his batting?
Re: 4th ODI ndia v Australia, Chandigarh 8th October 2007
Anyways, I am resting my case now coz I do not want to get caught in an endless discussion.

*Dekho bhai...*my impression about Tendu took a nose dive during the Bangladesh series in May. If you remember he was the MAN OF THE SERIES in that one. I have never seen a more underserving MAN OF THE SERIES. In one innings he scored I think around 180 runs.....it was so painfully made that you have got to see it to believe it...he simply could not work the ball away....yet he ended up scoring close to double century...and this was against a very weak bowling attack on a very friendly batting wicket with absolutely no pressure (3 other Indian batsmen scored centuries in that innings). Crcinfo also ran a column after that innings about how Tendu's batting was going downhill.
As for England tour, I already mentioned above that his batting was highly uncharacteristic of him (even though he scored those 90s). And like I said, England's far from great bowling may have helped his cause.

Ok...no more discussion on the subject.
btw, even if he scores a century today (which he still very well could), in my book it will not prove anything.
Re: 4th ODI ndia v Australia, Chandigarh 8th October 2007
India are one batsman short today (as compared to the last match).
Murali Karthik coming in for Rohit Sharma.
Lets hope tail-end batting would not be necessary for India today.
Re: 4th ODI ndia v Australia, Chandigarh 8th October 2007
21 runs (out of 83, > 25%) from wides and byes. That's a first for Australia.

Unbelievable. Umpire unmoved to a fourth shout for LBW. All plumbs, none given.

I am not watching the game. Were all of them clear LBWs? I think he has taken that "fake attitude" bit from Ponting to heart.
