If the connection goes out in the middle of the stream, are we basically screwed since max of 300 people, hence you can't get back in?

it's not you... it is your either your sound card or speakers or may be the colume control?

Nah...my volume control is fine. When I play a song from my computer, it works but when the link is playing, it is not emmitting any sound.
