It was the negative mentality of Malik.
No, I dont agree. We still have that plot. Be slow at start and then accelerate. NO, It's no more todays ODI or 20 20. You must be on top from the very beginning. I wouldn't all blame on Malik. When we needed to perform very good, we performed average.

Whom else will yu blame then. The openers needed to play fast, one got out, the other just bogged down. Younus, Yousuf and Misbah are middle order batsmen and they will play like they do. One needs pinch hitters to play around the main batsmen.

Batting performance was below par. And there I blame every one. From Openers til middle order. There is no more, middle order as such. Look at Yuvraj or Uthapa having strikes rates of 90-110. They middle order batsmen.

I agree that our batsmen do not dominate the bowling like Indians, but we have some ferocoius hitters that can balance, like Afridi and Imran Nazir. Razzaq used to be very handy at the end but he is been wasted.
