so whats the highest chase by india?

India wins the match and the series so far is leveled 2-2 the next 3 match are going to be exciting.

Well played India :k:

Badluck Windies but I think mainly it was Windies own fault they performed very bad in the field. They missed on 2 crutial catches and the umpire decision was wrong, seems like it wasn’t Windies day

Khel khatam

Jeet gaye bhai!
hamesha ki tarah :P

India made the 325/5 in 47.5 overs. Great chase. :k:

India Pull off Thrilling Win

**India levelled the series at 2-2 as Rahul Dravid and Sanjay Bangar steered them to a magnificent victory at the Motera Stadium. **

West Indies were clear favourites after a brilliant innings of 140 by opener Chris Gayle, who hit five sixes and 12 fours.

But India kept their heads under intense pressure to reach their target with 2.2 overs to spare, with Dravid finishing unbeaten on 109 and Bangar on 57.

Only twice previously have teams made a bigger score batting second to win a one-day game.

Australia scored 330 for seven to beat South Africa in Port Elizabeth earlier this year and India made 326 to win the NatWest Series final against England at Lord’s.

Anyway here is what Cricinfo has to say

A five-wicket win for India, almost cruising home in the end, with
two overs and a bit to spare.
**

It is quite, quite remarkable how a team that could not chase to
save its life just a year or more ago have transformed into an
outfit that chases down totals of 300-plus with monotonous
regularity.
**

In part that is due to the lengthy batting lineup, but there is
more to it.
The never-say-die spirit that has infused this Indian innings has
also permeated a number of other run-chases in the recent past,
and with every member contributing his mite like today.
After the openers fell cheaply - and they did more than enough in
the previous game, after all - Laxman and Dravid put together a
consolidating partnership that stabilised the innings.
Then Dravid and Yuvraj Singh upped the ante with some bold strokes,
although the real surprise came later, further down the innings.
Sanjay Bangar, throwing away his mantle of dour Test opener, played
some sparkling strokes for his 57 off 41 balls, and by the time
Dravid got to a fantastic century, India had all but sealed the
win.

well played India,
thy surely have learnt how to chase big totals,
thouhg they still have to learn to defend total,

and hey Guppies, this series in india have shown us the two of the weakest bowling and on the other hand strongest battling line-ups!

Quite the contrast
Yuvraj was hit for 20 some runs in one over by Hooper. Hooper should have requested a runner, in order to score some runs faster, since his knee has been hurting.

Oh well it was a good match, and lots of top notch shots. Dravid played a really good match winning century. :k:

Also another astonishing moment was when Harbhajan was 5-1-6-0. Very very good figures, comparing Nehra’s 45 runns in 4 overs and so forth. Yateem got hit pretty hard too.

It will be fun, to see who takes this series. The toss is really crucial, as the team chasing has won every game in the series.

Yaar uske liye bowlers chaiye - Hamare mulk me Sabhi ko sachin tendulkar hi chaiye to bowlers kahan se aayenge

It was an amazing win by India. I was quite surprised that Bangar could hit!. Man he was on fire.
And, to think that Sachin is still not in the team, I think we will be going into the world cup with the best batting line up. Zaheer Khan should be fit by then and should be able to provide the most crucial break throughs.

Also, in the course of the match, I felt that Bangar might have got the nick. But, it was a very difficult decision for the umpire amidst the roar of the crowd. One more plus point is that the crowd behaviour was good. Infact, the police have done a good job in maintaining law and order.

Overall a nice game of cricket.

Good and obvious win for India, on a pitch like this, they could have chased even 400 runs.
When you have 2 teams scoring alot of runs in the begining, its kind of exciting. But too many runs gets a little boring, I feel sorry for the bowlers on both sides, India seriously need to do something about their pitches, they are just to dull and predictable, and scoring a century by an individual or a 300+ by a team now days in India is very predictable.
They have to make their pitches a little bowler friendly, so India can improve its miserable record abroad.
Don't think chasing 325 on these dull pitches would make India a hot contender, they need bowlers, and they have done a bad job in this series.

before this victory they have succesfully chased scores more than 310 twice,

  1. against pakistan in Bangladesh (316)
  2. against England in England (326) this year, at one stage in this match they were 87/5.

But any way play on any kind of pitches they have the potential to win the matches with there deep batting.

No doubt!
I can never take that away!
India is a brilliant chasing team, I never doubted that, but these pitch condtions needs to changed if India wants to break that 17 years of curse.
