4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

Truth hurts, dont it ?

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

No you can't, that's a bold face lie.

And in the U.S. hurting/raping a person is illegal. Rape isn't passed down as a punishment by some villiage council as has been done in Pakistan.

And I was using sarcasm to show a point about generalizations, not justifying an act that defiles a woman.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

Illegal or not, it happens. Oh yes it does. Dont call it a lie cause you know better. If you challenge me I will start digging and throw so many events in the US at you that you wont know what to say.

Pakistan is just over 50 years old. Do you know what Americans were doing to slaves and indians when US was 50 years old ? Start reading some history buddy.

Know about Macon county and the syphilis in blacks. And that was not even the early days…that was 1960’s and 1970’s. And it went on for over 15 years. Right under the noses of the so called great leaders of your country.

US has had much more time than Pakistan to grow ; and what the US needs is more atonement for its crimes and more redemption, not “rendition”…Get it..heh. That was a good one.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

okinawah was while ago and exposed the disturbing trend there been many cases of rape committed by the US marines since then, and you are right in Iraq they are without doubt committing all kinds of atrocities while the biased western media looks the other way.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

What happened at Macon county and this about syphilis in blacks?

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

The government medical community gave placebos to the poor blacks at Macon County GA to see the advanced progression and stages of syphillis. many died in the name of science not knowing that they were actually guinea pigs. Here is a link.

“The United States government did something that was wrong—deeply, profoundly, morally wrong. It was an outrage to our commitment to integrity and equality for all our citizens… clearly racist.”

*—President Clinton’s apology for the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment to the eight remaining survivors, May 16, 1997
*

For forty years between 1932 and 1972, the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) conducted an experiment on 399 black men in the late stages of syphilis. These men, for the most part illiterate sharecroppers from one of the poorest counties in Alabama, were never told what disease they were suffering from or of its seriousness. Informed that they were being treated for “bad blood,” their doctors had no intention of curing them of syphilis at all.

So UTD, read your own history and then start pointing a finger towards the outside. most low life citizens of america dont even know whats outside the borders and wouldnt last a day without the massive infrastructure you have here.

Even when penicillin—the first real cure for syphilis—was discovered in the 1940s, the Tuskegee men were deliberately denied the medication.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

And why wouldn’t you follow your own advice? Your example of Macon is like someone bringing up the thousands of rapes and murders commited by the Pakistani army in 1971. Or the thousands of honor killings, rapes and acid attacks that happen there every year.

You really lose any credibility with statements like this. “Low lifes?”

And why would you make statements lke that when coming from a country with a 50% illiteracy rate? Especially when you are here enjoying this massive infrastructure. Who built the infrastructure anyway? Was that a gift from Pakistan?

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

That is truly shocking, and not something I would have expected from a leading champion of democracy and human rights. What the US government did to these poor blacks is akin to what the Nazi’s did to disabled people in Germany.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

Ahh here comes UTD2, i. e. seminole,

YES! We the people from the third world countries built, and are still building your infrastructure. Happy?

If it was upto the whitey, he wouldve enslaved the whole world. Strange the word “whitey” is still not as bad as the “n” word and the “injin” or “paki” or “bashi”.

Just because US used and manipulated all races around it for its benefit gives your hormone fed soldiers the mentality that they can go around and do anything. Just because US refuses to sign treaties that puts its war crimes beyond the reach of the international community doesnt mean that those crimes are now okay.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) The U.S. military turned over to police on Saturday a U.S. sailor suspected of robbing and killing a Japanese woman in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture.

According to police sources, Reese admitted to Japanese police Friday to killing Yoshie Sato, 56, on Tuesday.

The sailor had been held at the U.S. naval base in Yokosuka. Sato was found beaten to death in Yokosuka on Tuesday morning and her wallet had been emptied. She died from loss of blood.

Shortly after the incident, Reese returned to the Yokosuka base with blood stains on his clothes, the sources said.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

hmmm... good question.... maybe they have been reading up on the rapes and genocide of 1971 in Bangladash? They could have learned a lot about how an army can brutalize and terrorise innocent people.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

^ Why didn't bangladesh do something when india was with it in 1971?

Looks like there is fabrication going on...

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

It's really a good thing that we have no crime aganst women in Pakistan, so we have time to focus on the crimes of others.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

airhole likes fabrication it suits hes right wing agenda!

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

I don't deny 1971 but there are somethings that have been made that didn't happen like the rapes on the mass scale that bengalis accuse Pakistan of.

Anyway, it is funny that indians NOT the bengalis themselves like to bring up this issue..

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

Why I don't deny there are scattered few reports of rapes by US military, there is not the mass scale that is being implied here. And unlike armies of the past, they are being investigated and punished for their actions.

Anyway, it is funny that Pakistanis of all people are the ones to make these broad generalizations and condemntations.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

Uhm, we should not dismiss the point Seminole is making. We indict crime when we find it. Can the Utopian world of the Great Islamic Republic of Pakistan say the same? Were the Lahore police indicted for stripping women in public and beating them? AK47s motives have always been the same, to post every shred of evidence she can find that the US is bankrupt and corrupt. In theory this is to discredit the Western way of life, and to imply that things would be better under Islamic rule. There is evidence that Islamic rule would be horribly worse…

Pakistan’s moderates are beaten in public

By Ali Dayan Hasan, Pakistan researcher for Human Rights Watch

(Lahore, Pakistan)–“Teach the bitch a lesson. Strip her in public.” As one of the police officers told me, these were the orders issued by their bosses. The police beat the woman with batons in the full glare of the news media, tore her shirt off and, though they failed to take off her baggy trousers, certainly tried their best. The ritual public humiliation over, she and others - some bloodied - were dragged screaming and protesting to police vans and taken away to police stations.

This didn’t happen to some unknown student or impoverished villager. This happened to Asma Jahangir, the United Nations special rapporteur on freedom of religion and head of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, the country’s largest such nongovernmental group. The setting: a glitzy thoroughfare in Lahore’s upmarket Gulberg neighborhood. The crime: attempting to organize a symbolic mixed-gender mini-marathon on May 14.

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

ak47 is a girl? :bummer:

And when were women stripped by police in Pakistan???

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

you guys are very quick to deflect the issues when concern US. Very keen to compare ourselves to pak and bangladesh arent we. :-|

Re: 4 U.S. Marines Charged With Rape!

^^ You miss the point Ma.

Point one: There are certain anti-Americanists who live their lives overjoyed when they can find an article like the one that inspired this thread. They take that article and they paste it here at Gupshup in hopes that it will convince someone, anyone, that the US is in a moral decline.

Point two: They then do not rationalize the event, they extrapolate it. So an uniformed reader is left with the impression that Rape is rampant among the US military. Nothing could be further from the truth. Rape statistics among US servicemen are lower than most populations of men in the 18-30 year old age group. Rape is reported and prosecuted in the West, and when it is our military it makes headlines, not covered up as with many (ahem) societies.

Point Three: There are parts of the world where brutality against women is far more pervasive, permitted, expected, and unreported. Pakistan certainly meets that description. Yet we NEVER see certain posters pointing out the obvious about home, it is far more fun and politically popular to bash the US.

I think what Seminole and I would like to point out is that this thread has nothing to do with Rape, it is really a barometer of Anti-American authors who would post a picture of their own mothers naked if they thought an American had taken the picture.
