I think the main lesson to learn here is, in the absence of a genuine test bowling all rounder, play 6 specialist batsmen, Sarfraz, 2 seamers and 2 spinners (or 3 seamers and 1 spinner depending on the conditions). Azhar Ali can be the 5th bowling option.

If Nawaz cannot trouble batsmen in UAE (T20 is a different ball game altogether), he certainly won’t in places such as NZ and Australia.
