Since there is no kharch on creating conspiracy theories, here is one
SA know that they are labled as "chokers" so if the take money and lose the game, no one gonna suspect :D

Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
What annoys me about NZ is that they get to semis and then fold meekly most of the time... It ruins the semi final spirit!
Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
Next time I will not fall for it :pcg:

Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
Ridiculous short-selection by SA batsmen with an amazing fielding by NZ let the demise of SAs happen easily. The catch taken by Oram for Kallis was the turning point. And then the runout of AB Devilliers nailed it.
Now this is a lesson to all teams that anything can happen in these knockout matches, what you need to do is to have a strong belief on thyself and give your 100%. As a pakistani, I'd luv to have paki team to pick it before any other team does. :D

You never know Saby...you never know...It could be a NZ vs. (Pak or India) final....I actually think SL bowlers will spin them out of the Semi but CRICKET IS A FUNNY GAME...
Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
Certainly wasnt expecting the black caps to demolish the Saffies.
Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
Arguably the biggest world cup choke ever.
At 100 odd for 2, South Africa should have won and won easily but yet again they could not avoid being torn apart by their nemesis, the dreaded ‘C’ word
" Oh South Africa, what have you done?..It shouldn’t have been enough, it didn’t feel like enough, but it proved enough."

True. For the record (like Pakistan) this is NZ's 6th semi-final in 10 world cups as well but they have yet to reach a final

Funny that Kiwis have choked 5 times in the Semis of WC, more than Proteas have, and yet who gets the label of being Choker - Saffies :D

I know what you mean but choke is when you lose a game from a winning position. Being thrashed out of sight (and NZ were thrashed in all the semis incl. the 1999 v Pak which they lost by a whopping 9 wickets) does not = choke
Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
And that’s what I’m scared to happen with Pakistan as well. If you remember 1996 worldcup QF match at banglore when Pakistan in the chase of 278 runs had a flying start given by Saeed Anwar and Aamir Sohail, but then as soon as the openers got out, the whole team collapsed.
Pakistanis have to be very very mentally strong in upcoming semi.
Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
Jacob Oram's catch to dismiss Kallis, for me the best catch so far in this world cup

The thing is everyone almost never expects Kiwis to make it to semis, yet they do and get beaten out. Because everyone knows that they are not super talented yet they are very combative. but any team in sf is more talented than them and combative too so will thrash them.
but everyone expects South africans to reach semis because they are so super talented and organized and yet they fail so always called chokers...
Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
They took NZ very lightly! This was the biggest mistake.
South Africa is the only team which can afford 7 or 8 genuine batsmen in their team. NZ went only with two medium pacers. In these conditions if you have fast bowler like Steyn and good medium pacer like Kallis you don't need anymore fast bowlers.
Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
I wonder what NZ bowling coach Allan Donald is feeling tonight. A dichotomy of emotions surely
Re: 3rd Quarter-Final: South Africa v New Zealand at Mirpur, Fri March 25
An absolute shocker. Was absolutely stunned to see the result in ESPNCRI....
