gambhir hit afridi for a 4 and afridi didn't like it...exchange of words took place...foul lingo used by both...umpire gave shoaib malik the warning to control afridi...

gambhir hit afridi for a 4 and afridi didn't like it.
It was not exactly the boundary which was disliked. I suspect a fine, both parties are at fault. A batsman has to get around the bowler who is entitled to stay through his follow-on. That elbow by Afridi to Gambhir's face could also come into the picture.

19.4 Shahid Afridi to Gambhir, 1 run, Drama! Afridi and Gambhir sledge each other! It was on the leg and middle stump line, pushed to short third man region for a single. Gambhir and Afridi collide. Afridi says Gambhir should have gotten off the path but Gambhir thinks otherwise. Both get very close to each other - bumper to bumper traffic! - and go at each other. Umpire has to intervene, he speaks to the two and then to Malik. Crowd roar and the ODI has come alive. The bowler is entitled to stay on his follow-through and the batsman has to run around him.
