I've also been wondering why Hughes isn't in the top three - that's where I think he should be batting. I wouldn't call Maxwell a hit-and-miss batsman, though (even though today's dismissal adds some fuel to your argument). And by the way, are you the SB Tang who writes, often about Hughes, in A Straight Bat, the Guardian, and occasionally on these pages as well? If so, I'm a fan. Anyway, here's Hughes.
