Just saw the highlights of the Fawad Alam catch in the leg slip, where Smith ran from first slip as the bowl was delivered. Isnt this against the rules of cricket? He basically changed his fielding position in the middle of the delivery. And Fawad was going for runs behind the leg area where there was no fielder and he ran across. If Pakistan did the same thing, I think ICC would find it illegal. But since it was one of the Big3 who did it, it was declared legitimate.

ICC 41:8 that if a batsman shapes early to play a shot..Then a fields man can move anywhere he wants

Since Fawad shaped up early to play the shot he played Smith was within his right to move
