It was CIA and Benzir’s famous minister Naseerullah Babar who created Taliban from the students of madarsas to oust the Burhan-ud-deen Rabbani’s govt because USA feared the Islamic Sharia would be implemented. We should remember that Taliban did not fight any significant war and Afghanistan was handed over to them by the govt. thinking that they were their own children.
Where CIA went wrong? They thought they would be able to control Taliban since they are just young students; however, Taliban got out of their hands (and out of ISI’s hands as well) and that US considered a bigger threat than the govt. of Rabbani. So, in a long run planning, they had to stage the inside job of 9/11 ;-)))))))))
