Appreciate your concern on these deaths. Every year millions of people not only from Sindh but all over the places outside of Sindh visit the shrine of Usman Marwandi to pay homage to this great sufi. Sehwan is not a developed city and can not cater for huge inflow of masses in to this small city with very little or no facilities available. Score of people die every year due over flow of population and extreme weather condition. It is duty of Sindh/Federal government to pay immediate attention to this problem and create boarding, lodging and medical care on priority basis. May invite private parties to initiate such programs. Government can levi fee or taxes to visit the shrine to control loss of lives and maintain the sanctity of shrine.

Recently saw a youtube clip of a guy who recorded his trip from ISB to LHE on his motorbike via Motorway. He was stopped, but apparently had a permit that he showed Patrolling Officer and was allowed to proceed.

They died of heat. I guess people aren't making a fuss, because that death is a blessing compared to the deaths other Pakistanis are dying, like being bludgeoned to death by a policeman being paid by prostitute/alcohol bribery by Nawaz Sharif goons.

Even people die for natural causes, there is responsibility of the government. Tragedy of death is tragedy whether people die with the bullets of Punjab police, a terrorists' bombs or due to extreme weather.

Yes, the govt should do more to facilitate the visitors, but people should use some common sense to stay out of trouble also. The is no such religious obligation to attend these Uroos and whatnot. Hajj is a pillar of Islam and even that is not mandatory for sick people. People need to decide for themselves whether is really worth "dying" to attend such events. Govt is not even able to provide basic necessities of life to people in country, to expect them to build hospitals and accommodation for such events is foolish. If Govt had more resources, I'd rather have them provide clean drinking water than spend money on accommodating these events.

Perhaps you have never been at the shrine of Lal Shahbaz. The culture at Lal Shabaz is not of relegion but it is culture love of people from every corner of earth whether Muslim or non-Muslim visit him. You can compare him with Data darbar of Lahore, Shams Tabrezi of Multan or Khuwaja Muinuddin Chishti of Ajmer Sharif. Perhaps faith of masses in theses sufis, you have never seen. e.g. at Lal Shabaz, people come to pray for health or pray for successes. When people get what they want, are the main reasons for respect and for love of these sufis. Please don't snatch the hope of these poor people who can not buy anything or happiness what they get free at the shrine. Religion and Sufism are entirely two different things. Comparing them are like comparing apples with oranges.
