Is she your first born? First borns are usually like that, and being fist time parents, we usually tend to be over sensitive to any thing that we feel is out of the ordinary. Our first born son was also just babbling till 3 and a half, but now at 4+, he chatters away all day. Our second born daughter who is just over 1.25 years seems to be well ahead of where my son was at the same age. Seemingly it as a lot to do with company a kid has. If he has other kids around him, he finds it much easier to learn and pick up things than when being around adults. This is not to say that speech delay is not an actual problem though.
