I don't want to get into the politics, but I will say this: In India, someone gave birth to this nuclear program, they made him the president. In Pakistan, someone gave birth to this nuclear program, look what they've done to him.

Abdul kalaam made Nuclear program for the sake of country and not for the sake of money,even Narendra Modi, Bal Thackery (whom muslims calls villians) also supported him
he is the first non political person to become president of india :)

I’m currently reading Pervez Musharraf’s autobiography that just came out. It is the number 2 top seller on Amazon. It’s a really good book and shows how he is, in fact, a human being (unlike many other leaders of nations today ). He’s not exactly a maulvi, but he is one of the very few leaders that Pakistan has had that will not simply sell the country.

1. Never ever Benazir, Nawaz or Altaf. Musharraf is doing a decent job but I would like to see him give up the post of COAS as per his promise by end of 2007. Imran Khan is another viable alternative. While I do appreciate that leading a cricket team is very different from leading a nation, when we have given every laloo panjoo a chance in the past why not try him out atleast and see what kind of stuff he's really made of. Imran needs to mellow down a bit and be more diplomatic on domestic and foreign policy matters.

2. Pakistan is not anyone's jaageer, so although Musharraf is doing a decent job, I would expect him to abide by his promise to hold free and fair elections next year resulting in a democratically elected PM and a civilian President directly elected by the parliament.

3. Yes we shall always remain indebted to AQ Khan for what he has done for Pakistan but that gave him no right to sell Pakistan's nuclear secrets to every Tom, Dick and Harry. If President Musharraf had not forced him to confess publicly, the Americans would have publicly named and shamed AQ Khan and that would have been even more embarrassing for Pakistan.

Pakistan is destined to be bestowed by the rule of Khilafah. But not from the current corrupt, uneducated lot of people. They are first destined to get severe punishment from Allah.

Musharraf is the worst nightmare for the Islam in Pakistan.

None of the political parites (including all the Mullahs' parties) can bring Islam and peace in Pakistan. They are just not capable of it.

Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan is paying the price of the work done by Pak Army (musharraf included). He's being used to be shown as person responisble for things for which the original responsible are the one who have arrested him :-)
