One thing I have learnt over the years from this forum is that Pakistani fans are eternal optimists which is a good thing (and I seriously don’t mean it in a sarcastic sort of way). Just an observation.

Pakistan can very well win this match, but reading some of the posts above gives one an impression that it is going to be as easy as Pakistani batsmen sticking to a simple plan.

More than having confidence in Indian bowlers I have confidence in Pakistani Batsmen’s inconsistencies. I will be really surprised and shocked if Pakistani Batsmen will be able to sccore 320 on last day of match. It would be simply a miracle. But then miracles do happen.
Also when was the last time Pakistani batsmen made 350+ in both innning of a test match??

I have no such illusions, a win here would be just about as difficult and rare as that draw in Mohali.

i dont know if they will go for a win i mean i dont think pakistani batsmen will be ready for that risk

if they can get about 200+ before lunch and dont lose wickets then they can go for a win... they should plan it one session at a time... dont get distracted for long goals.. take small steps at a time

I think Pakistan can do this. Remeber, we have Younis and Yohana in great form and along with them Inzi with good experience in pressure situations. IF these three can take the score to 280+ then Razzaq and Kamran can do the rest. InhsAllah it won't get till Kamran or Razzaq... :) i am happy the way we played this test match and inshaAllah the result will be good :)

do you guys really think that pak can do it…well we need allah blessings…i will be so happy if we can draw the match…it would be a miracle if we can draw the match …wicket is not that bad but after all it is fifth day picth…50,000 people will be there.,…
too much pressure…

If Taufiq, Younis and Yoyo can eat up some time and put some runs on the board, I think sending Razzaq up after Youhana to pinch hit would make a lot of sense. Like it says on his profile, Razzaq can block or blast. It makes more sense to utilize his talent to hit out and put Pakistan in a position to win. If Razzaq fails, then Inzi and Asim can go into a shell for the draw. Everything depends on the 3 at the top. Each needs to come up with at least 40, and one of the three has to get at least 75. It’s possible. Taufiq looked better, Younis is playing inspired, and Youhana is our class batsman.

I think this is the way Pakistan can win. Otherwise its too a great risk to try to chase without wickets in reserve.
