I have an opinion on this too..
Playing him as an opener in test matches can be a useful tactical approach in situations like these, but in the long run, it’s neither good for the team nor for Afridi. With his style, he’s bound to fail more often than he will succeed, and that will introduce too much inconsistency in our batting and will hurt Shahid’s own career as well.
I’d love to see him being played as a BOWLER, who can be used as a batsman too.

Afridi has a known weakness against short balls.
