We do appreciate the 100 he made, of course he did the job.
But what my point was the comment made by cricinfo’s commentator.
Despite getting a great hundred he would have done better to go on and make it a big one. There’s a new ball to negotiate not too far down the road and he would have been the man to do it. Bear in mind also that pakistan was 235-2 in the last test and barely reached 400 so there’s still some work to be done.
