This is exactly what I love about Australia
They were 134/6 at one stage...but Symonds/Hogg kept playing their shots.....scoring boundaries every other over and now they are 180/6
Desi batsmen in this situation would have receded into a shell....and not only do they eventually lost their wickets but also score nothing at all trying to defend everything.

Sharma to Symonds, no run, there's a massive appeal for caught behind, the Indians are convinced but Bucknor is stony faced, Ishant gets one to seam away from the right hander and the ball has taken a healthy edge through to Dhoni, that was a sizable edge and Ishant can consider himself unlucky

The 'explanation' given was that there is some 'doubt' in the umpire's mind. That doubt could have been created with a tiny dust particle attached to the bottom of Symonds shoe kissing the ground below.
If we are to be told to look forward to such decisions in the future and that too coming from a third umpire who has access to a world of modern tools at his fingertips, we are better off without the technology.

^well the replay from behind symonds clearly shows his foot is well above, there is no doubt
first a huge knick, i dont know how the hell that was not given out even tho symonds was starting to walk, and then the 3rd umpire decision was absolutely terrifying
changed the whole game completely! where is ~140 compared to 300 and he is still not out
purpose of 3rd umpire is to give the correct decision, there should be no tolerance to errors like these
