Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

12.5 Shahid Afridi to Morgan, 4 byes, bouncer in response! Really swift from Afridi, almost cleaned Morgan up! Akmal had no chance either!

Reminds of beamer in frustration by Waqar Younis to Andrew Symonds in WC 2003. Why is spinner sending a bouncer?

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

Pakistan lost 2 series in a row…did well against Australia here…its okay considering the Pakistan squad in chaos… :jhanda:

PS: A piece of advice…Afridi MUST be taken off for the ODI series… :jhanda:

PS1: Saeed Ajmal could lead the ODI series…Does it look strange…Ajmal as captain…the winning is guaranteed from this man…hmmmmmmmmmmm

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

I really appreciated Pakistan’s body language in the second inning. Positive attitude is the beginning of all great things. :k:

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

True. The total (89) was just abysmal. You simply cannot defend such a meagre score in T20

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

5-0 whitewash in the ODI’s? :hmmm:

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

nah, 4-1

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

A big No…No…the world is dealing with Pakistan cricket…and the world can never fully comprehend what Pakistan cricket is…keep guessing though… :jhanda:

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

^ batting is the key. fielding we know we cannot improve. bowling is still ok and that is saying a lot minus Asif and Aamer. If we bat like this then we have no hope in the one-dayers. Not making excuses but I think the players are just not in the right state of mind to play positive cricket amid the intense scrutiny surrounding them since last month’s allegations of spot fixing. And who could blame them. But they are also professionals and they need to put this behind them quickly and focus purely on the job at hand. Easier said than done though.

3-2 in favour of Pakistan :jhanda:

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

I would support my team in good and bad times…PERIOD! :jhanda:

PS: Though we should always try to correct the things and tty to make better…thats life!

PS1: We should try to feel good after losing and winning…

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

You mean to say that they will get out under 100 3 times and cross 100 twice. Just about right.

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

Totally uncalled for. You take that back.

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

Funny I reached the same conclusion today ..

I know now why I am attracted to Pakistan cricket .. so I can learn to dance with the dance of life. What a great way to put into practice staying on top of things emotionally in amidst of chaos. By not letting bad performances or news determine our emotional states, or our attitude. Learn to be nimble, and stay within our power :k: What a better thing to practice this than on something we naturally love and attached to. There are so many lessons in store for us, both the players and their supporters. We should really be thankful

Re: 2nd T20I Eng vs Pak at Cardiff - Sept 07, 2010

Guardian match report

Tonight, in front of a pitifully small crowd, Pakistan batted like a side who on the whole would rather have been elsewhere and paid the price. Hit by accusation, allegation, insinuation and innuendo they are a team utterly devoid of spirit playing against the best side in the world in this format, one that just keeps getting better. So it was no surprise that England won their seventh successive Twenty20 international, equalling the record held jointly by Pakistan themselves and South Africa.
