Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
can someone provide me todays rate of one tuk from misbah
Misbah scored 47 off 59 deliveries. Go and look at socrecard for others and than come and talk about his tuk tuk. Keep some perspective before flying off the handle.

Yeah and what will that do, score another 20 runs and get out. Highly over rated batsmen. Talented but a buffoon when it comes to batting.
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
JOKERS!
odi team has gone to the dogs...come back from here onky way is to tie the series which seems like tall task for this captain.

that's wat the job of coachis, he should come in and tell/guide him how to build an innings. or else misbah should move to No.3 or 4 to guide the inning.
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
England win by 20 runs.
Could there be an ODI whitewash by England now.
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
Can England whitewash Pakistan in the one-day series?
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
Good bowling and fielding by England, bad batting in the end by Afridi, Umar Akmal etc, and none of the set batsmen tried to stay till the end. I think instead of bringing Abdul Rahman in, Pakistan should have brought Ajmal, Gul and then Rahman. As Rahman brought Pakistan into pressure by scoring just 1 from 12 balls.
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
I dont think they can do a white wash, if Pakistan wins the toss next game and out a decent total, Eng will be under pressure to chase it down.

I also think Umar Akmal should be moved up the order and we should have a regular keeper not Umar Akmal. He certainly has the talent and will learn to build the innings.

i agree, also the fact younis has never been a great one day player, averaging only 32.9.

Ehsan bhai Umar Akmal played a proper cricketing shot. Unluckily he found Samit who took a very good difficult low catch
Afridi on the other hand played a really horrible ugly swipe at a time when Pakistan seemed to be in control of the RRR. That was very stupid and irresponsible of him esp. knowing fully well that there was n't much batting to come after him ... brainless to the core (with the bat. I admire Afridi the bowler).
Does one really need to slog when the RRR is 7.0?
Sensible batting, milking singles and twos with the odd boundary here and there does it most of the time
Pakistan's fragile batting exposed again by England
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
Hamad Azam should have played for cheema and Some batsman for Rehman. How can you have Umar Akmal as wickt keeper yet have no one who can bat @ # 8.

I agree
Misbah's SR of almost 80 is very good for a middle order batsman. He may not be a good finisher like an Inzi or a Miandad or in the same class as those two but Misbah knows that our batting is not solid or world class and so he does not have the same luxury to play freely as the aforementioned batsmen who were part of much better batting line-ups. Without his steadying innings today, Pakistan would not have crossed 200. A SR of 80 is hardly tuk tuking.
We just have to accept that our batting is not good enough at this level. If we cannot chase 250 on these UAE pitches then we won't do well against most sides in alien conditions
Besides chasing has always been Pakistan's biggest weakness in ODIs

Not comparing him with Afridi because I dont consider Afridi a batsmen. Umar Akmal has fallen far short of expectations and I really dont think he can produce goods at any place in the innings till he sorts his batting. Talent alone is not enough, you need discipline as well which sadly lacks in him and lets not beat around the bush either, he is not a newbie who needs to learn.
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
^ Perhaps we should try him (Umar) at one-down. Most of the time when Umar comes in, Pakistan team is already under pressure.
Anyway, more than anyone else, today's derailment award goes to Afridi. He derailed a chase that was going in right direction :(

Umar Akmal should NOT be batting at # 6! He is being turned into a slogger, which he is not. He has immense talent and his talent should be used at number 4 or 5. At that number he can play his natural game without added pressure.
And he should definitely not be asked to keep as well. Adnan should be keeping wickets in the one-dayers
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
Many people wont like it but let me say it, Younus does not have a place in ODI team YES even if young ones are failing, I'd rather have young ones failing than old ones.
Take out Younus
Move Umer to his place
Add a Keeper (Adnan Akmal)?
Also, Hamad Azam should be tried as 2nd to Gul
Re: 2nd ODI: England v Pakistan at Abu Dhabi, Wed 15 Feb, 2012
I know you all are blaming batsman, but i think this time it was bowlers inability to do their job. only 4 wickets. ![]()
