Wouldn’t it be better if you can split them up and make them into separate teams and the members (from henceforth) who participate can look at those teams and fill in the slot or create a new team if they wish. This will also let them see how many members a certain team has and whether it’s already full or not

umm what if someone doesn't want to be in a team with another member? we can't force them to be in that particular team with that member.
