Aizaz Cheema deserved the MoM for his 4 wickets (incl. Jayawardene, Dilshan and Sangakkara) but it is not often that you see a bowler who takes a hammering in his first two overs eventually going on to win the award

Well done Misbah and Umar Akmal! Finally a sane batting order and if Umar Akmal can be groomed more and more in this position, I am sure we will see such innings from him more often than not. :k:

This is exactly right. Umar needs to step up like today and some one more aggressive need to come in place of Younis. You cant have both Younis and Misbah in middle order in subcontinent considering you do not have a blaster at the top. With this batting order you can win low scoring games like the one today but moment you need to chase 270+ it will be hard.

Umar Akmal’s agile footwork should be appreciated…quickly getting into the lines…regardless of pace…and making some runs…he should cash-in his youth + talent…

**Criticism of Misbah misplaced!

**Misbah and Hafeez have played almost the same no. of games

Misbah has a healthy ODI average of 42.90 (despite no hundreds yet) and his SR of 75.21 isn’t bad either (for a middle order batsman)

But look at Hafeez’s batting stats, a pathetic average of 26.75 (despite 3 hundreds) and SR of just 68.03 (very low for an opener)
