Dhoni's words would have been much more credible if he had called out on the frontline bowlers. If you are using seven bowlers to get by, you obviously have a talent problem. Sometimes acknowledgement is better than denial. Who is he kidding..call spade a spade...private or public.

ok so as a leader, you will choose to demoralize your team members right in front of millions....mind you one of those bowlers just took 4 wickets in the very last match against a top notch team and helped india winning the match....also, you dont have any bench strength either....it is not like 2 top bowlers are sitting on bench...calling spade a spade in public? and you think it will help lift the morale?
