Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
It was MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Boo = Muu. You almost single handedly started another petition demanding a gazillion football fans apologize for being racist. Thank god this aint the religion forum.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
I really thought Joseph Addai and Dominick Rhodes were the co-MVPs of this Superbowl. The Colts dominated this game via the run, also the Bears reluctance to give up the big play gave openings for the Colts to jab their way to points.
I'm watching and wondering when they were going to make an adjustment, but it never really came. Considering that the two teams play the same defense not adjusting is a nightmare Vs almost any QB let alone Peyton Manning.
One question I was asking all game though, Rex Grossman donned the glove on his off-hand often.. but tonight it was absent, why? Knowing that he has small hands, he needed all the help with gripping the ball that he could possibly get.
Rex Grossman was atrocious, but it wasn't all on him but he is a goat for his performance. I mean really, look at some of those interceptions. Mushin Muhammad runs a double move and Hayden has beaten and still Grossman throws a jumpball?
Sloppy game, fun game.. Prince was the best halftime performance ever.. I enjoyed it.
Bears definitely need to address two positions in the offseason one is Safety, doesn't matter which because they need to upgrade on both guys who were out there tonight, and Mike Brown can't finish seasons. Another is guard, Garza is the worst. The worst.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Looks like this guy never follows football.
Bears fan were sayin “Moose” - Mushin’s nickname
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
I don't understand how Grossman babyface got this far. The actual Superbowl final was the Brady/Manning game. I'm glad Colts won. They deserved it. Payton is the man-ning.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Looks like this guy needs a hearing aid..
ummmmm Moose starts with an “M” not a “B”
when the fans i chicago call him moose its a whole diff thing. I have seen it on Tv and I have seen it in person at soldier field. There was something off yesterday, coulda been the colts booing him, but there was booing there.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Agreed...Manning had one interception and a fumble plus he got sacked as well.
Do you guys think the Bears should keep Grossman? I think they should look into acquiring Jeff Garcia if possible.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
grossman is going to be a fine QB someday. but that does not help the team today
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
i think ppl should give grossman a break
he got 'em this far, and isn't it his rookie season?
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
He’s been called Moose in Carolina too.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
It’s been circulating through media channels. Garcia couldn’t be asking for a better situation than Chicago but I don’t think Bears will give him more than a year deal.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
It doesnt get any closer Mr G. My prediction was Colrs 28 Bear 16. Actual score was Colts 29 Bears 17. Las Vegas odds had Colts favorite by 7 pts. I should have been a bookie.
My thoughts bout the game.
When your defense (NFL's best, mind you) spends 38 minutes of the playing time on the field and when the opposing teams has 430 yards of total offense (out of which 191 was on the ground), when your offensive line cannot protect your QB and when your QB throws 2 interceptions -- Chicago -- You are not going to win very many games whether you are playing against Colts or Raiders, in Superbowl or in preseason game.
I thought the Colts adjusted the playing conditions well. When Manning threw his interception it was raining and he adjusted well to the rain afterwards. Grossmann on the other hand was clueless even though the playing conditions matched the ones in Soldier field - the rain and sogginess etc.
Colts also ran the ball with perfection with Rhodes and Adai. Chicago should have run the ball more considering their QB was screwing up and it was raining. Where was Thomas Jones, the hero from the win over New Orleans Saints?
And I agreee Rhodes should have been the co-MVP along with Manning. Manning didnt have the 5 TD, 500 yard game, but he got the job done and ran the offense with patience and got the W. In the end, this is all that matters.
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
like it or not, grossman is going to suffer
Re: 2006 NFL Predictions
Im sad that the football season is over. thats more depressing to me than Bears losing.
