2006 Fantasy Football

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

collins sucked when he was with the giants…having moss as one of his receviers will only make a marginal difference..once a loser alwaya a loser..u do have the #1 RB but not by much; holmes and alexander are right on tommy’s tail..#1 TE, well we’ll see abt..gates was a sleepr last yr..now he’s on the mind of every defensive co-ordinator..and Torry Holt is #2 WR? gimme a break..he;s easily behind harrison, TO, chad johnson..he’s a 2nd teir WR..

now coming to my draft..K Jones was a great pick..he plays in a division with sucky defense teams..he’s gonna do good..and big trouble at my WRs? r u kidding me…Burelson is the no.1 target for Culpepper, Steve Smith is the no.1 target for Delhomme, Buress is the no.1 target for Manning…and then my backups Keyshawn and Brandon arent that bad either…

lemme teach u something old fella (hope u dont forget it)…u can never win the fantasy league with just one or two superstars..otherwise ud have won last yr with Peyton…u need consisten, week after week contributions from your players…id rather take a medicore team over a team with one or two bigshots..

anyways all of my positions in my team have average/above-average players…

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

kaleem and 5abi..quit u two football geeks..who cares whose ass west/east coast offense came from or when...concentrate on the present...

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

Kaleem prawa, :google: zindabad

I didnt know about the “birth” of West Coast offense and yeah you are right bout Paul Brown. But guess what, no one has heard (other than NFL fanatics) of him because he has never won a Superbowl. When you talk bout West Coast offense, the first name that comes to your mind is Bill Walsh and 49ers and all the Superbowls he has won there.

After that he went to Stanford where he was head coach and in charge of the organization there and fully developed and perfected it and then took it with him to 49ers when he was hired as head coach as well.

Also read Jon Gruden’s article on why the term is “West Coast Offense” as opposed to other

In search of the West Coast offense

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

Lussi bhai, I expected better from you. :frowning:

Let’s see…

At WR position, I got Driver, Lelie and Clayton. They may not put big numbers like other elite receivers in the league, but they are sleepers. So, yeh I’ll take my chances there since I have one of the best fantasy QB.

At RB, this seems to be the weak position for me since I’ve only one elite RB Curtis Martin. T. Bell is a player who’s ready to breakout. Even though, he’s not gonna win starting job, but he’s definitely going into the play from 20-30 yard to the end zone. I got Nick Going from Waivers. Even though Foster is a starting RB for Panthers, Nick will be there to pick up yards.

You can’t go wrong with my DEF. Chicago and Atlanta? As Nas would say, you gotta take it slow…

At TE, I’ve one of the most underrated player E. Johnson. Even though he plays for a bad 49ers team but he’s gonna get more receptions from Alex Smith.

At DL, I’ve got Farrior and at DB I’ve Sean Taylor, the defensive leader of Redskins. Both of these defensive players will filled up the stat sheets at the end of the day.

All in all, I am quite happy with my draft even though, it doesn’t look good on paper, its’ definitely there for me to take the crown in the end.

…like Nas said, you betta take it slow.

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

Read your comments. ** YOU’RE RIGHT!!! ** In a panic, I have now loaded up on some mediocre guys (Pittman, Warner and Patton) with upside potential that I can shuffle in and out of my lineup. Please oh please Fantasy Football gods don’t let me be this year’s laughing stock (like UTD last year). :crying:

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

talha bhai, i had lelie last yr..on avg he gave me 1 td/3 games..but my luck that on most games when he scored a td i had benched him because of his poor play in the last couple of games…Driver is only gonna get trinkets after Walker has had his lion share of receptions..dunno much abt Clayton, hes prolly ur best shot..
as far as ur rbs are concerned..there is no way curtis is gonna repeat his perfomance..akhar bhudda kitna bhagey gaa..and im not even gonna waste time talking abt Bell - cuz he aint the starter..Goings might do somehwat well..but panthers have a crowded back-field..davis, foster, goings would probably all share the carries..
Atlanta is a good DEF team but Bears? cmon..but then again Urlacher is back..so maybe its gonna get better..
I have heard good things about TE Johsnon…but hes playing with a rookie QB..

and yes ur right..ur team does look weak on paper but so it did last yr too…so u never know..

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

mv..well pittman and co. are way way below medoiocre..anyways all im sayin is that u aint gonna do as hot as u did last yr..and coming weeks will tell us that.

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

Last year I assembled an offensive juggernaut. After some strategic free agent acquisitions (remember Brandon Stokely  ), all I needed to do was pay attention to bye weeks and put the team on autopilot. With two extra teams this year, the talent pool is a little more diluted at all positions and I confess that my overall team appears a little weaker this year than last.

This year requires more general manager skill week to week and exploiting key matchups. I am up to the task and reporting for duty. :salute: Just wait till you see what Kurt Warner does in the spot starts I give him. Patton is this year’s Stokely and will emerge as the #1 receiver for Patrick Ramsey. I’m so excited that I’m already working on a new fight song.

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

TRADE TALK:
If someone is a little short at WR, I am looking for a RB. The guys I can trade are B. Stokely, Santana Moss, C. Rogers, or D Patten. These guys aren't superstars and I'm not looking for a superstar in return. These guys are relatively solid #2 WRs and I want a relatively solid #2 RB in return.

Any interest out there?

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

High Tech: I sent you a trade proposal.

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

proposed back at you

Re: 2006 Fantasy Football

lussi

i think u better ask everyone here if they will continue to play this game...if anyone is really not that interested then we can cut 2 teams and have only 10...that will be more fun
