Excellent work…hats off to Pakistan …all out team effort, when middle order got out too early, adnan chipped in, when gul was dull in the first inning, he sparkled and led the attack inthe second. excellentstuff!

Who says Misbah is slow or that Pakistan batting is slow? They sure are climbing fast with their approach. Aren't they? If you can't understand your team's approach as Pakistanis, then please listen to this Indian - People who want Misbah or Pakistan to score fast can please leave test matches and watch T20s. ^ GA ..would i be going too far in saying that looking at his complete innings its almost somewhat miandad-esque shot selection? specially those reverse sweeps, and how he got out cheekily, then cursing himself walking back...thinking he could have gotten another 40 maybe...

All three Akmal brothers are cheeky ... each in their own way
Adnan came into bat at a crucial time and his innings was the reason for Pakistan's big 1st innings lead which put England on the back foot. While it's ok to reverse sweep on Asian pitches, it won't be so easy in Aus, Eng or SA where the ball comes on to you much quicker.
What we can safely say about Adnan is that he is the best wicket keeper-batsman in the country. I would prefer him over Sarfraz in the ODIs as well. Adnan's glove work is as good as Sarfraz's and he is a much better batsman than the latter

^His Glovework should be the yard stick esp. in Tests as our Bowling has been traditionaly penetrative ..... A solid Keeper is very important in order to keep the opposition down to low scores
His Batting and mature approach will only cement his Place before Sarfraz ...... but PCB should keep Sarfraz and let him wither away coz this will also keep Adnan on his toes :D
