Saw Pakistan Test cricket after a gap of 30 years. Nice job of wearing down the bowlers (the great walls of Pakistan?). Lead is in the bag - matter of how much.

Ageed. But I think they could have strengthened the batting line up by playing Umar Akmal (batting him at no. 7 thus ensuring that he had adequate rest) instead of Adnan

^^ GA do you think Umar has the fitness needed to crouch for 90 overs a day for atleast 2-3 days out of the 5 day match - he is not a full time keeper.....after all he is a Batsmen being asked to keep in 50 overs and T20 games...he keeps part time, bats full time...

I did hear Rameez talk about the grounds/spectators sometime after Tea. At that time, there were players signing autographs for kids in between deliveries of their fast bowlers. Rameez observed this could never happen in the subcontinent due to security reasons. So he praised the relaxed atmosphere in New Zealand where kids could get up close and personal with their players.

You have a point. But with Pak batting being so weak and unpredictable in recent times, we do need a solid keeper who can bat as well. Dhoni and Prior are doing the same job for India and England respectively. Maybe Adnan will prove me wrong and score some runs in NZ. With 3 full days to go there will definitely be a result in this game. Pak will be batting last and they should try & get a first innings lead of atleast 100. The more the better for our chances in this match.

Started watching at 271 for 6. Now 314 for 6. Nice counter attack when the pair scored 30 runs off 4 overs. 2 sixes by Rehman.

So far during my watch, no Pakistani wickets have fallen, including yesterday's 1.5 hours of defending post tea. In that period, probably 95-100 runs have been scored. Maybe I should get paid for this service?

I think Misbah and Asad got a little impatient and lost concentration - this could have been easily a 150 run lead....
still its not BAD by any means, given Pakistan teams current situation....
So now its Pakistan's job again in the field to keep kiwis for putting any large total on the board and limit their chase in the final innings to a minimum...
