berry nice :k: well played Yousuf, Kamran and I am glad our tailenders also contributed to the runs :k:
Lead of 279, after WI 74/3 the lead is now 205, now if Lara can be removed earlier then the game should be ours :insha:

I hope Lara scores a magnificent double hundred and Pakistan win by 8 wickets on day 5.

Not that much but I want Lara to play good though. Ofcourse I want Pak to win at the end.
Re: 1st Test Match: Pakistan V West Indies, Lahore
A genuine question; I have been thinking about what might be the circumstances or the reason behind this...
Why did Lara chose to underbowl Collymore in yesterday's proceedings? By the end of Day 2, Collymore had figures of 16-4-34-0. Come Day 3, although he started and ended his 9-over spell brilliantly beating Yousuf's bat on a number of ocassions and maintaining a strict line outside the off-stump hardly giving any room, why was he neglected since then? Not even an over after lunch?
I certainly thought Collymore had more to offer, if given the chance. Nine overs was the least I was expecting.

May be due to three reasons:
1. Pakistan was very cautious against Collymore and on such a pitch, if you are set (like Yousaf) and then are cautious against a bowler and just block then chances of getting out are low.
Extra pace (85+ mph) for Taylor and Edward may have encouraged Lara to use them. Plus Pakistanis were playing their strokes against these twos so chance of getting wickets were there.
May be Collymore age may not allow Lara to use him for too long of spells, while other twos are in their early twenties.
Taylor was more successful and if I recall correctly, he has been included in squad specifically under Lara instructions. Lara was upset when Taylor was left out for few matches against India when india visited WI.

1. If Collymore is consistently pitching five out of six balls in the corridor of uncertainty regardless of batters being cautious, doesn't it increase his chances of taking a wicket? Not so much so even a single over after lunch? If you were Lara and the opposing team's arguably best batsman has regarded one of your main strike bowlers as a main threat especially to him, what would be your strategy? Wouldn't you have your man bowl as much as possible?
Edwards was taken to cleaners by Akmal yesterday. Apart from a few of his well-directed short-pitched deliveries, after that initial burst followed a lack in his momentum that he failed to keep.
Meh, I suppose age could be the real factor, amongst the two above of what you have mentioned.
