SA did not choke as such, but they missed the opportunities. At this level, that is what matters. You don't have to have a stellar showing, just make sure you don't miss any opportunities. That is how average teams become champions. If you miss two run-outs and two catches, then you deserve to lose. As the saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough gets going'. They were simply not tough enough.
