Yeah, I guess it would've been better when they would've dropped a bomb somewhere in Toronto and then they would've been caught and would've been guilty and then you would've believed and been satisfied.
I'm sorry but I totally don't agree. Why would you want innocent civilians hurt in order to arrest a few. Can you imagine what would have happened here? I don't even want to think about it.
Items are shown on display during a press conference in Toronto Saturday. On Friday, members of the RCMP and partners of the Integrated National Security Enforcement Team arrested 12 individuals and charged them under Section 83 of the Criminal Code of Canada, foiling a series of attacks plotted against unspecified targets in southern Ontario.

Ammonium nitrate is 'Gober', we have after every 1000 foot a moving plant of gober called BHAINS in Pakistan, ... if Gober is bomb, then Bhains is mother of bomb, ... who is terror-ist ? :s
may be they were making BIO GAS!!! or may be they were mad-sceintist and trying to run a car(t) with gober gas(oline) saving $2 per littre with a cheap gas :s
If your garage is full of 6,000lbs of fertilizer, you would not have room for much else in your garage.
The reason that they are highlighting the fertilizer, is that if it were to be used for a bomb or bombs, the effect would be devastating. And possession of that large of a quantity of fertilizer is generally limited to farmers who are fertilizing many acres of farmland. The number of legitimate purposes for that quantity of fertiizer are very few. Typical use is 62 lbs to 400 lbs per acre. Thus they could have fertilized from 100 acres at most to 15 acres at the least. Better be a good explaination, but I suspect there is not.
They were trying to fertilize the green land and ice land, and they need to melt the ice burgs first, and they were gatherred there to discuss how to melt the ice...
I guess green-land itself is more than 100 acres wide and close to 1000 islalands... per above deep philosophical and theorilogical mathemetical analysis...
when they catch x-tian terrorist or jew terrorist or etc terrorist, they simply say 'people' caught... when they catch Muslim with Gober bag, they call MUSLIM Terrorist, why ?
*Why they don't call X-tian Terroist, Jew Terrorist ? *
Toronto's police chief, Bill Blair, was at the Islamic Foundation of Toronto mosque and he held a press conference with the imams of the various mosques. He repeated several times that ISLAM isn't the reason why this occurred but rather it is because of politics.
Many of the community leaders spoke and answered questions. Several highlighted the need to educate the Muslim community about how Islam denounces such acts and that if they have a concern, they should use non-violent methods to address them.
Crescent bhai, that is not the problems right now. I mean, who is saying that all those “western” politicians are innocent? I mean that is another HUGE topic that we can discuss. Every other muslim and even millions of goras are against Bush for being a pain in the neck for Afghanis and Iraqis. Yes that is also killing of innocent people. We can come up with thousands of evidences including the documentries of Michael Moore and present it against Bush uncle but see life is unfair sometimes and no one can do anything against the authorities. Neither in pakistan nor in USA.
BUT Right now we’re just concerned that IF these guys ARE guilty, which pretty much seems like they are (looking at guns and everything else) then naam hum sab ka kharab ho ga! I mean this has never happened in Canada and we CERTAINLY do not want Canadians to be like Americans (how they treat muslims now). ‘You are judged by the company you keep’…and if they are guilty then all muslims will be seen as if they’re all criminals. Waise bhi now a days the reputation of muslims in the whole world has gone pretty bad. It’s true that we should wait until they’re guilty but it’s pretty easy to believe that teenagers and young men and women in their 20s are more likely to get brainwashed by the extrimists. It’s not about them being muslims, we would’ve been equally concerned if they were non-muslims. It’s better to put them in cage before some innocent lives were killed and of course it will be proved if they’re not guilty and they will be released on bail. See you have to take the knief out of your kid’s hand before he’d hurt himself or someone else although you don’t know if he would or would not but JUST IN CASE to prevent any dangerous activity.
Toronto police Chief Bill Blair called on both Muslims and non-Muslims alike to let cooler heads prevail Sunday after 17 people were arrested in connection with what authorities say was a plan to stage a massive terrorist attack.
The 17 men arrested and charged on Friday were allegedly motivated not by faith, but a different ideology of hatred, Blair told a gathering of Muslim leaders.
The suspects will be considered innocent until proven guilty, said Blair, who noted that any anger or fear spawned by allegations of a homegrown terrorist ring should not be directed at the Muslim community.
"Justice will be done," Blair pledged.
"In the interim, I hope that we can all work together to maintain the respect and trust and peace of our communities together."
That message came hours after the discovery of an act of vandalism at a west-end Toronto mosque.
About 28 windows were smashed overnight at the International Muslim Organization of Toronto.
