Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
Indeed a dark day in our history, regrets and shame is what is felt on this day, we lost our Eastern Wing, we were defeated by our arch rival and were defeated because of our own weaknesses and lust for power.
Like today, no one was interested in the betterment of Country, Army want to stick to power, Bhutto who lost elections was not ready to accept the defeat, Mujeeb who won fair n square was not allowed to form govt and result is known to everyone.
Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
why are you exonerating ZZAB? oh, wait a minute…you are a sworn Jiyala! lemme remind you…you can’t shift the blame squarely on Yahya Khan…it was your ZAB, the power hungry Wadera, refused to accept Mujeeb as PM of Pakistan…yaad hai us ne kahaa thaa:
“idhar ham, udhar tum”…
…is liye idhar Pakistan banaa rahaa aur udhar Bangladesh ban gayaa…
i would suggest you take a little outside the History class.
Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
Agar aik aadmi kay aik comment say mulk toot jata hay to mulk na hooa , just a paper only , These were angry remarks when Bhutto’s effort for a settlement with Mujeeb was failed and this was 1971 and army was ruling since 1958 directly and since 52 indirectly . The both traitors Ayoub & Yahya are sole responsible for 1971 mishap .
Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
lol yeah…your guy was just clean…you gave him too much benefit of doubt while you put all the garbage on Yahya and Ayoub…typical Jiyala tendency…

Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
Have you read “Dead Reckoning” by Sarmila Bose. She’s an Indian writer who did a very detailed research on the so called infamous massacre by Pak Army in 1971. Her research proves most claims (the number) of massacre as false and illogical. This book is the latest compilation of our time on the war of 1971. She interviewed many people/survivors of that time (in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan) herself before writing this book.
Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
If East Pakistan was still part of Pakistan, Bhutto would never have been able to become the PM of Pakistan at least for the next several years, as Bangalis would have always been in majority and hence AL forming the govt. Bhutto cunningly wanted the eastern wing to split that would pave way for him.
Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
Buddy, this figure of 3 million is nothing but exaggeration by anti Pakistan elements. The main course of war lasted for over 2 weeks or so, one would probably need to do carpet bombing all over BD to achieve that figure.
Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
Still licking the boots , Peshawar attack tell you the result .
Re: 16 December 1971, the darkest day in History of Pakistan
I see your point and I do agree there were countless injustices done with Bangalis, there’s no doubt about that. I just wanted to clarify on the number games, so that all of us are aware of the actual history not the distorted facts and figures that are circulated around thru different resources.
