16 April 2007 - Australia v Sri Lanka

Re: 16 April 2007 - Australia v Sri Lanka

BBC calling it a Tactical sneak fest from SLs.
Moody resting Murali so Aussies won't get practice against him and the same with Vaas.
Haha.. lets see what the Kangaroos can do today? Should be a good match. However, it seems SLs will be out there just to enjoy the game and see if they can bat Aussies out of the game.

May the best team win!!!

Re: 16 April 2007 - Australia v Sri Lanka

I just got a wild guess…Sri Lanka purposely didn’t play Murali and Vaas for to avoid Aussies in Semis by loosing this match…any statistician out their support my conspiracy???

If it’s true then it’s not good for game spirit and morale…:halo:

Re: 16 April 2007 - Australia v Sri Lanka

Though SLs are not playing under pressure, turned out they are playing without determination....
duh..

Re: 16 April 2007 - Australia v Sri Lanka

It is obvious that Semis would be between Sri Lanka and New Zealand and between Australia and team who would end up fourth. So by winning or losing this game Lankans will stay at 2nd or 3rd position.

Re: 16 April 2007 - Australia v Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka rested Vass and Murli too. This shows their intention. Vass, Murli and Malinga, all their three best and most penetrating bowlers are not playing.

It only shows that SL is not interested in winning the game, they are more interested in keeping Aus at the top of the table, and want to play semi final with NZ.

SL wants to keep their best game and full strength reserved for final. They want to use all probabilities to their advantage.
