^ yeah its unfortunate that anti-semitism is rampant in young muslims today
but bro SS esp waffen SS was only to protect the fatherland , strictly battlefield formations ...it was gestapo and einstazgruppen that killed political opponents including jews
Re: 15 Astonishing World War 2 Photos
^^ SS were formed as Hitler's body guards...they were then expanded to become sort of a National Guard....by September 1944...they numbered 900,000 men.....
some of the worst crimes were committed by the SS
their roles were changed through the war from Hitler and Nazi's party's body guards....to a national guard unit .... to special shock troops....to ethnic cleansing....to defenders of the 3rd reich....
in fact...the most tenacious defense during the battle of berlin was given by the SS Nordland Division which was composed mostly of French who had joined the germans to fight the Soviets.
Re: 15 Astonishing World War 2 Photos
^ bro thats mostly allied propoganda SS waffen's warcrimes were no worse than what the US british french or russians did ...they lost so thats why they are maligned

not all SS formations were the same , SS waffen were different from the rest
ethnic cleansing as a matter of policy was never carried out by waffen SS , isolated massacres but which army didnt do it ? ...many times even the allied witch hunters could not find casses to implicate waffen SS commanders.
einsatzgruppen were always for ethnic cleansing they were really criminals like NKVD, and french/greek/yugoslavic terrorosits called "resistence"
SS waffen were plain soldiers with a relatively clean reputation much like those in any western army or soviet european guards divisions.they always were for defence of 3rd reich

no disrespect to the great frenchmen who fought against allied imperialism but thats the blind ferocity of a cornered rat ...they knew that taken alive with the soviets was not a option
far more respectable in my opinion are actions like of the 12 SS in normandy and SS totenkopf in demyansk where they basically held the line while most of their comrades were able to escape enemy pincers
Going back the original photos in the first post... Too bad the GIs didn't go up against the German Wehrmacht from '39-'42....otherwise they'd have their collective butt handed back to them...lucky for them they were up against conscripted teenagers and old men, with no equipment, supplies or air cover, and not the 100 division force that was subdued by Russians, the real victors who won the war for allies not the american...
Well that could be true.
However one could always argue that Nazi cancer would not have spread, if the US army was deployed in the early stages of WWII.
I am sure you are familiar with the proverb "nip the evil in the bud".

Hahahahahahahahahah the US army in the early years of WW2 was a complete joke.
Undertrained, underarmed, under strength.
The US spent the time from 1939 onwards watching events unfolding, learning, and preparing to fight.
Even by the end of 1941 the US Air Force and Army were terribly equipped. Only by 1942 was American equipment actually up to modern standards.
