well..i didn't question the agenda behind the list which is indeed interesting to see how the audience has been introduced to the work of each writer. however, i wanted to provide an alternative in case someone intends to focus solely on such statistical concepts. the list does not privilege one particular literary genre or form but is a composition of the most sold books in english speaking countries. thus it is not really that dramatic to see a modern novelist listed beside a classic one : )
