There is a long, long history of animosity between the two parties, going back to the 1970's when ZAB banned the ANP's forerunner - the NAP of Wali Khan.
Why did Zulifiqar Ali Bhutto ban ANP's forerunner - the NAP of Wali Khan? I thought only dictators banned political parties?
