Is Anal sex and use of sex toys betwen husband and wife is allowed in Islam ?
May 30th, 2006 #2----
The toy thingies .. I am not sure.
Anal - NO ... In some schools of thought it even results in Tanseekh e nikah (Nullifies the marriage - and a kaffaraa has to be given before they can be husband and wife again)Ik zindagi theee Fida kar dee

Well, let me say few things here.
The thread title made me stop by since it semmed as if horror was asking weather sex is allowed in islam but when you read first post you get the idea why he/she used ( ) in the title.
There is a general concept in Islam as I know. BUT I am by no means an Aalim Mufti or anything close to it.
In Islam, many things are actually kept hidden so husband and wife are allowed to do whatever they like to please each other....but some basic rules must be met.
1-Avoiding areas where there can be a chance that someone else may observe sexual activity. That means keeping privacy.
2- Avoiding something unnatural like anal sex.
Would you like to eat through your nose? I know the example is not very similar but one can get the idea of natural or unnatural act.
3- No detailed info on oral sex as far as I know, but general guidance of cleanliness of doing 'natural' act would apply.
There is a deliberate effort by some skewed literature that women somehow 'love' the act of anal sex. Thats not really true. Some even go as far as giving so called scientific reasons perhaps based on male homosexuality. But we know females are females and males are males and they are different.
I think its the 'males' who promoted anal sex between man and woman and they get much more advantage with this act while females get nothing but humiliation and suffering. Weather they express that or not.
Some women just want to see their partner pleased so they go along with whatever they are asked to do. Thats not right and they have a right to 'discuss' in nice manner.
3- I think having sex with spouse is promoted in Islam and actually is considered Ibaadat. Denying spouse's need is wrong regardless of husband or wife.
4- Use of Toys?
Toys were not there over 1400 years ago and some may feel its OK to use those but others may say it is unnatural to use artificial means for self pleasuse and then it may get into territory of either masturbation or actually denying the spouse to achieve pleasure regardles of the approval of the spouse.
Comments or criticism welcome.

Question: If a husband and wife have involved themselves in anal sex with mutual consent, are they condemned?
Answer: In the Name of Allah, Merciful and Compassionate
Anal sex is impermissible and a major sin, by scholarly agreement, because of the primary texts that clearly establish this. [Nawawi, Majmu`; Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar] If one errs, the door of repentance is always open: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Verily, Allah accepts the servant's repentance until their final breath."
The use of sex toys:
No foreign object should be used. The restriction on the use of foreign objects is based on the following hadith. Ubaydullah bin Zurarah says that he had an old neighbor who owned a young slave-girl. Because of his old age, he could not fully satisfy the young slave-girl during sexual intercourse. She would therefore ask him to place his fingers in her vagina, as she liked it. The old man complied with her wishes even though he did not like this idea. So he requested Ubaydullah to ask Imam Ali (r.a) about it. When Ubaydullah asked the Imam about it, the Imam said, "There is no problem as long as he uses any part of his own body upon her, but he should not use anything other than his body on her."za lewanai yem

Conditioning of the mind by society allows discussion on sexually explicit issues under the cover of religion, yet any debate or line of argument which is offensive to popularly held sensibilities are censured.
Usually, such issues are labelled as adult content to be allowed only in closed rooms on the internet. Here we are discussing it openly in the religion segment. I have no objection, but find overly restricitive policies on subjects of relatively minor significance as offensive. Any views Mods?

Oops, it's on Sunnipath.com .. I've forgotten the exact URL, but it's not too hard to use the "Search" thing they have there. I do not have the books with me at the moment. I can only reference what I've said using a book in a months time inshaAllah.za lewanai yem
