I know this sounds like WHAT? YE KIS KISAM KA IDEA HAE!
but I'm REALLY serious!
We freeze chapatis in our household. Something recent that mummy started doing. I'm talking about the normal chapati. Basically when they're freshly cooked and cool down, just fold them into half, (one by one so they are easier to take out when frozen) put as many as you want, and pop em into a polythene bag, close the bag and freeze.
Take them out a day/week/month/months later, just microwave them for 1-2 minutes and BELIEVE me they are TOTALLY like FRESH chapatis.
No more PITA bread and other bazar ki breads (PITA k saath laGta hi nai k khana khaya it seems like its fake break!). So ladies, one weekend just go on a chapati-frenzy from zohr to maghrib, make like 300 chapatis (no kidding) and then just freeze them. Seriously. When you feel like eating, just defreeze and VIOLA!
Mehmaan aanay walay hoN tab bhee kaam aa sakti haen They'll never even KNOW the difference, trust me I couldn't toh saVaal his nai peDa hota k someone can!!!
Students (I have been one too so I share your pain) you can do the same, ie go on the chapati-frenzy, and stock your freezer OR ask your moms to cook and send you
p.s. Peeplaan When you're eating/serving them mujhay duayen dena na bhooLna
