Mistake

Rate this Entry
After months, I had a mug of coffee today and what a big mistake that was. Immediately, I didn't know what do with myself, I got really full, couldn't look at any food. I had to go lie down and wanted to sleep but couldn't because every sense was super alert. After the whole day spent in confusion, I finally figured out why I had stopped coffee all together even though I drank it occasionally last year. Coffee makes me super anxious, it did help me to work out longer but that is about it. On the other hand, my sister drinks a cup of coffee before bed every other day to calm her down.

I often take coffee just before going to bed too. But that's just because I enjoy the taste. It doesn't have any effect on my sleep.

Ah high caffeine tolerance. I can't even drink chai in the afternoon because then I would be up until fajr. Coffee does have a nice taste and aroma though but I shall take it in a very small quantity if ever in the mood.

I'm not fond of coffee or tea. You should avoid it if it causes anxiety. Not worth it.

As soon as I moderated caffeine my bp went back to normal, if I feel the urge now I order decaf.

Oh I love tea, oolong, green, black. It doesn't matter, I can especially drink jasmine green tea all day.

Drinking 3-5 glasses of warm water helps me when I feel like this after having coffee. If you ever find yourself drinking coffee again, try it to flush it out your system.

Coffee/tea are acidic. Apart from keeping all your senses and muscles on high alert, if you drink on empty stomach or eat any acidic accompaniment or if your stomach was acidic before you drank coffee, it makes one feel sick. So yes all the foods with higher pH are helpful like milk, bananas, plums, ice creams & all kinds of food that flush out acids/toxins from system. Sugercane is also great... actually it is the best to cure sickness caused by coffees/teas.
